User Grouping Algorithm for MU-MIMO Systems

چکیده
Recently standardized wireless systems have multiple Time-Slots in a radio frame, but existing MUMIMO schedulers are not utilizing multiple Time-Slots efficiently. In this paper we propose a sub-optimal user grouping algorithm utilizing multiple Time-Slots efficiently. The proposed algorithm disperses highly-correlated users in different Time-Slots to prevent severe degradation of spatial multiplexing gain. We compare the performance of the proposed grouping algorithm with existing schedulers not utilizing multiple Time-Slots. The proposed algorithm is suitable for fair communication system with strong QoS requirements. .

Successive Cancellation Soft Output Detector For Uplink MU-MIMO Systems With One-bit ADCs
In this paper, we present a successive-cancellationsoft-output (SCSO) detector for an uplink multiuser multipleinput-multiple-output (MU-MIMO) system with one-bit analogto-digital converters (ADCs). The proposed detector produces soft outputs (e.g., log-likelihood ratios (LLRs)) from one-bit quantized observations in a successive way: each user k’s message is sequentially decoded from a channel...
متن کاملMulti-User Flexible Coordinated Beamforming using Lattice Reduction for Massive MIMO Systems
The application of precoding algorithms in multiuser massive multiple-input multiple-output (MU-MassiveMIMO) systems is restricted by the dimensionality constraint that the number of transmit antennas has to be greater than or equal to the total number of receive antennas. In this paper, a lattice reduction (LR)-aided flexible coordinated beamforming (LR-FlexCoBF) algorithm is proposed to overc...

متن کاملDFT-based vs. Cooperative MET-based MU-MIMO in the Downlink of Cellular OFDM Systems
In this work, we compare different pre-coding techniques and their performance in a cellular MIMO OFDM downlink. The first target is to determine the achievable additional beamforming gain by using a near-optium pre-coder instead of DFT-based pre-coding. In the second step, we include multi-user selection diversity, which turned out to be advantageous especially for downlink cooperation. An ext...
